Thursday, we toured KBS, a long standing Korean broadcasting company, with some Mosaic Tour members. The tour was very cute and reminded me of a children's museum.
It was an optional event and Wes could join!
Here I'm pointing to a show poster for Moonshine, a silly kdrama about liquor prohibition and underground production.
For lunch we had some excellent traditional Korean food!

Today was the official first day of the tour. We started with orientation to get... Oriented. And then walked across the street from our hotel to a hosted dinner where we got to try so many things! Dishes I never even knew existed.
After we went on a much needed walk (after all that food) along the Cheonggyecheon Stream ending at the Cheonggye Plaza, a public square in central Seoul that commemorates the restoration of the stream which was once an elevated highway. The plaza features a huge red and blue sculpture that we have nicknamed "the snail."
At the end of the night, I wandered into the subway to find a bathroom and couldn't believe that the signs led me to a stationary and book store! Kyobo books was so fun to explore! Definitely the most journals, stickers, and pens I've ever seen in one place.
